Amazon.com is an e-commerce platform that sells product lines, including media, fashion, consumer electronics, home & furniture, beauty, groceries, personal care, automotive, toys and more.
I worked as a Creative Director at Amazon, from 2018-2021. After starting with Amazon Turkey, I rotated to a regional, then a global role with Amazon Imaging. During my time at Amazon, I created and executed visual concepts for marketing campaigns, developed new content types for product imagery and videography; delivered large scale projects partnering with Technology, Product, Creative Production, Business Development and Marketing teams. I created the visual concept and style guides for post-purchase videos, which improve customer satisfaction and product return rates. This video concept is important because after purchasing and receiving the products customers need additional information about how to set up and maintain them, for efficient usage.
Concept is built on an informative, engaging and simple visual language. The diverse characters mimic the product / user interactions, in a playful yet functional way. The primary colors link the visual language of the concept with the Amazon parent brand.
This minimalistic visual approach makes each video to be helpful across the entire product type (i.e: all robotic vacuum cleaners) rather than being product specific. After finalizing the creative concept, I worked with production and motion design teams to ensure high quality execution. The post-purchase experience and videos are live globally.
I built and delivered the creative marketing roadmap for Amazon Turkey, including creation of unique concepts and local adaptations of global campaigns. From the season launch of fashion store, to category launches, Mothers Day and Spring Deals, I created concepts, key visuals and style guides. Collaborating with production team, I ensured all assets are delivered in a timely and high quality manner to marketing teams. Built an iterative process to identify best practices based on engagement and conversion metrics, and continuously implemented to upcoming campaigns.
I worked on the creative marketing campaign on Disney and Amazon Turkey collaboration for Frozen 2 movie launch. The campaign consisted of the TV Commercial, Brand Store on amazon.com.tr, and integrated marketing initiatives. To fully reflect the excitement of the new Frozen 2 movie theme, we aligned the look and feel of the concept with the movie. Prioritizing consistency of the theme across all channels, we provided customers with an end-to-end bespoke shopping experience from the commercial to home page and brand store.
